Mark Twain said, “Forgive quickly, kiss slowly, love truly.”
Here is the complete quote. “Life is short, break the rules, forgive quickly, kiss slowly, love truly, laugh uncontrollably, and never regret anything that made you smile. Twenty years from now, you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”
Seems to me that learning to live in the moment is the secret.
When you fail to forgive, you’re holding on to something from your past.
When you don’t kiss slowly, you’re imagining that you’re somewhere else.
When you don’t truly love, you’re unwilling to be present.
Are you quick to forgive?
Are you kissing nice and slowly?
Are you truly loving your life? And others?
