How many different shoes have you worn during your lifetime?
How many different shoes are you currently wearing?
Is it time to throw away those shoes that no longer support the life you want to live?
I’m not talking about actual pairs of shoes … I’m referring to the different roles you’ve played in your life. And the different roles you’re currently living.
Forrest said, “I’ve worn lots of shoes. I bet if I think about it real hard, I could remember my first pair of shoes.”
Remembering the many roles you’ve played in life, or the shoes you’ve worn, is fine.
Continuing to wear the old, worn-out shoes is uncomfortable.
Continuing to wear the old, worn-out shoes doesn’t give you the support you need.
Continuing to wear the old, worn-out shoes can be ugly.
Continuing to carry around the old, worn-out shoes is a burden.
You don’t have to continue playing the old, worn-out role you’ve been playing.
You can empty your closet of the old, worn-out character you’ve been.
Is it time to throw away that pair of shoes that no longer support the life you want to live?
